The County Theater is such a gem and truly one of the most iconic spots in Doylestown. There’s something special about seeing a movie here—the charm, the history, and the thoughtful film selection make it feel like a real experience, not just a night at the movies. It’s cozy, nostalgic, and such an important part of our local culture. I love supporting places like this that give our community so much character.

The County Theater is a charming landmark in Doylestown that offers a delightful cinematic experience. Nestled in the heart of the town, it features a beautifully restored interior. Whether you’re catching an indie film or a classic favorite, the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff make it a must-visit destination for any movie lover. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy a captivating film in this historic setting!

We love going to the County Theater for rewatching classics to their special events to the family movies (great practice to see if your kid is ready for the movies without the guilt of potentially needing to leave due to cost or behavior). We rented a theater for a birthday party and the staff made the whole process so easy. The kids and parents had a wonderful time and all I needed to think about was what other food I was going to bring (we decided to preorder popcorn but wanted to have other options available).

The theater is very nice. It definitely has a classic feeling to it while providing a lobby on the modern side, however it is still very nice. The theater is very clean and the staff are very nice. There are two issues that are minor, however. First of all, the snacks seemed to be on the expensive side, like around 20 additional dollars to the price. The other issue is that the seating is not the best. The seats are rather stiff and do not recline(which is okay). Other than that, the theater seems to be nice and clean. Another nice luxury is that it is not overly crowded at the moment, it is just a very charming little theater with friendly staff. Would recommend.
