  • I have nothing bad to say about healthy paws. I’ve had them since my dogs were puppies (2019 and then 2nd policy in 2021). I have the 80/20 plan with $500/$250 deductibles and the price is still great. I’ve just submitted a tremendous bill for my dogs emergency surgery and within 2 days the money hit my account (almost $9800!). My other dog has allergies and they cover his allergy injections every month as well. They’ve processed claims as fast as same day. I recommend them to everyone I know or meet that has an animal. The one or two times I’ve had to call everyone has been helpful and friend

  • One of the hardest things about having an older dog is managing his care. Our dog has had some pretty extensive needs in the past five years, including abdominal and cataract surgery. He is otherwise super healthy and deeply loved, so the surgeries were no-brainers. Our Healthy Paws policy made the decisions so much less stressful, and the assistance we received online helped make our submissions successful. We were able to get generous reimbursements on both surgeries, and keep our sweet 17-year-old pup happy, healthy and active.

  • I’ve had Healthy Paws since 2015. On the rare occasions I filed claims, reimbursements were fast and hassle free, so credit where it’s due. That said, I’m downgrading my rating to warn other pet owners. Premiums increase dramatically as pets age, regardless of loyalty, to the point where you are effectively priced out of coverage. My policy started around $40/month and rose reasonably until my dog turned 8. After that, the increases became extreme, climbing from $72 in 2020 to $536 per month in 2026, or $6,432 per year. Over my pet’s lifetime, I’ve paid far more in premiums than I’ve ever be
